Teida's Story is book about a dog and it's owner written through a dog's point of view being Teida. It shares good times, bad times, happy times and sad times. There are moments where you laugh and moments where you may cry. Teida's Story describes Teida a staffordshire terrier x red cattle dog from when she was a pup to her old senior years. After Teida's first six years of life with her original owner, Teida's Story describes when Teida finds herself in the home of a lady Annie, who despite having pet dogs growing up as a child, it was the first time Annie had a pet dog of her own. Teida and Annie form such a strong bond, that Teida doesn't just become Annie's pet dog, but also her best friend. Teida's Story is the story of Teida's connection with Annie, their adventures and how they learn and grow learning about grief and loss, faith, hope friendship and love. I believe one should read Teida’s Story because it offers a unique perspective on life through a dog’s eyes. It shows that no matter the circumstances—whether you're sad, happy, or simply in need of support—a dog is always there. Teida’s Story takes you on a journey, showing that outside of family and friends, your pet is someone you can depend on. You can share your life, your worldly secrets, and your inner thoughts with them, and they will accept you for who you are, reassuring you that all will be okay in the end.

Review

One of my favorite reviews came from a woman who isn't an avid reader—in fact, she doesn’t read at all. She spontaneously bought Teida’s Story and finished it within two days. At the time, she was undertaking a consecration course, which involved reading religious passages, prayers, and exercises—similar to Bible studies. She struggled to engage with the course materials and had put the book aside, unable to continue. After meeting me and learning that I was a local author of a dog memoir, she became interested in my book and ordered a copy through Amazon. Just three days after receiving Teida’s Story, she had finished reading it. Inspired by my book, she picked up the consecration course materials again and was finally able to complete them. She later told me that Teida’s Story gave her the motivation she needed to finish the course—something she had been putting off for so long.

Teida’s Story could be compared to books like Because of Winn-Dixie and A Dog's Life: The Autobiography of a Stray, as both explore the emotional bond between a dog and its owner, highlighting themes of grief, resilience, and love. However, its unique perspective of being told from a dog's point of view sets it apart, offering a fresh and heartfelt take on the journey of life through the eyes of a pet.
